A crossroads in the heart of the Alps
The big big thing not to forget is that this camp is in the heart of this magnificent chain of the Alps. That we are just a point on the GR58, that we are a small point on the Via Alpina, that we are a very small point on "The great crossing of the Alps". And that tonight there may be a small family arriving from two hours away. There will be perhaps eighteen Austrians who left a month and a half ago by bike. There might be a guy who left six months ago and is working on the flowers. This is what makes the richness of this place. It's a bit like the synthesis of this place.
Zero waste, zero plastic, zero aluminum.
We do zero waste on this bar: there is no aluminum, there is no plastic.
The bins are divided by six, because we have taken up the logic of the old ones: we have 12 hens, 2 pigs, a composter. This avoids generating any waste. The care of clearing the land is entrusted to two horses and sheep. Goats shave low branches.
Live here, with what we have here.
A place for true life
We have set up lots of events: a sports week, a concert, a folk ball, theater and then the local outdoor center which comes here for three days.
People walk away thinking “I contributed to something cool”.
